Dear Parents and Candidates
We are approaching the celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation. It has been a pleasure and good experience for me and I look forward to the rest of their preparation for the sacrament in the spring. I would like to bring your attention to some items regarding the immediate preparation beginning in January.
Below are the dates for the Confirmation preparation sessions.
- All Confirmation Preparation sessions will take place in the Activities Center beginning at 7:00 PM.
- Please note the date of the Candidate/Sponsor & or Parent Meeting is January 4, 2010 in the Church Overflow Room.
- We are asking that the sponsor attend some the preparation sessions with the candidate. If this poses a problem, a parent or an older sibling that is in college may fill in. The sponsor will be in dialogue with his/her candidate during some of the sessions. Below is noted the sessions that we would like the sponsor to be present.
- Confirmation Preparation Sessions
- March 15, 2010: Parish Mission
- March 22, 2010: Unit Three Conformity to Christ Activities Center.
- March 29, 2010: Unit Three Conformity to Christ. Sponsors attend. Church Overflow Room.
- April 12, 2010: Unit Four Bearing Witness to Christ. Sponsors attend. Church Overflow Room
- April 19, 2010: Confirmation Reflection with staff member.
- April 26, 2010: Confirmation Reflection with staff member.
- April 26, 2010: Reconciliation Celebration 7:00 PM Church. Gift of the Spirit Books Due.
- May 6, 2010: Rehearsal for Confirmation 7:00 PM Church.
- May 8, 2010: Confirmation Liturgy 4:30 PM Msgr. John Zenz.
