THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS
We are happy to welcome new members into the Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. As a part of parish life, it is a formation process to help one to be fully prepared to become a full member of the Church. Candidates for the sacrament of Christian Initiation will be formed in the practice of the faith by a study of the Bible, the teachings of the Church, the life of private and public prayer, the Sacraments, and Christian morality.
Catechumens will be initiated into the Church at the Easter Vigil and celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. They will be assisted in their formation by sponsors who have been fully initiated and actively participate in the life of the Church. We ask that the sponsors be someone other than your spouse.
